DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER
The Loire basin has a rich fauna and flora which are sternidés and gulls among the most remarkable birds.
A study is being conducted by the LPO Touraine on the Loire linear to assess the population status of some species restricted to strikes and banks (including terns).
The river dynamics at the origin of the Loire environments (sandy islands, eroded banks, ...) results from the influence of various factors: global changes, thermal changes, water.
Birds characteristics of these environments appear to be good indicators of changes in progress.
environments Loire is also coming under pressure from human: outdoor sports, hunting, fishing, inland waterways, major events on the banks of the Loire.

MISSION
Tracking colonies sternidés and gulls on the Loire Indre-et-Loire (counting, estimation of reproductive success of colonies, monitoring the most sensitive sites),
Implement local environmental protection activities: placards, devegetation sites, user awareness of the presence of sensitive species,
Format data Collected: Mapping (MapInfo), database, summary of results.
