DESCRIPTION OF THE OFFER

The internship is to achieve a presence status and management recommendations of an alien species invasive Japanese knotweed (Fallopia japonica) in a territory of the basin of the Scheldt French: commune Condé sur l'Escaut.

MISSION

The internship will be divided into 3 phases:

- A phase retrieval:

Conducting an inventory of knowledge of Japanese Knotweed on the impacts it generates and on existing control techniques against its proliferation;

- A phase of field investigation:

Conducting an assessment of the presence of this species on the study area (Municipality of Condé sur l'Escaut) and description of habitat types impacted;

- A phase of data recovery:

Conduct a mapping of communal presence status of the species type medium (in ArcGIS) and management recommendations.

CANDIDATE PROFILE / E

This course is for / student e / e level bac +4 or> specialist / e in population biology and ecosystems or equivalent

Qualifications : Taste for

Knowledge naturalists appreciated

Knowledge of GIS (Arcview) recommended

Rigor and autonomy

vehicle and driving license essential (mileage reimbursement between office and field)

WAGES OR COMPENSATION

Salary / Compensation: 417 € per month
